Name: The Archaic Demon
Pilot: Sal Snyder
Class: Small -- seats about two, maybe three in a pinch.
Appearance: Think a typical NASA-created space shuttle-- because on the outside, that's what it is. Except it has a green demon painted on the side, courtesy of a friend of Sal's. There are occasional sightings of a stray modern technology here and there, but the ship looks very much like it is a 'new' old NASA shuttle.
Description: If the "Snyde Remark" firearm is a testament to Sal's familiarity with old technology, then the Archaic Demon is proof of his capability with modern technology. A completely custom-built ship, the Archaic Demon uses some of the finest technology today inside the salvaged husk of an old NASA space shuttle. Though Sal worked on most of the ship himself, he had a few fellow engineers take a look at it to help him with some modern technology he could not understand himself.
The shuttle is equipped with shields and cannons, like any other ship, but as we are talking about Sal, some old-school tech is expected. To this end, we have some modified weapons from Terra, most notably a few warheads.
Sal is extremely proud of the Demon, and usually takes any jokes at its expense in disdain.
Battle Stats: ATK: 6 DEF: 7 VIT: 5
The Demon is a balanced fighter in all regards, though might not take blows as well as some other sturdier ships.
Special Moves:
Concentrated Shield Defense (Negate) -- A fancy term that means Sal can redirect all the power in the ship to a focused point in the shield defense system to completely stop an attack from hitting the ship. This redirection does mean that the weapons won't have power until the next turn, however.
Super-EMP Missiles (Ensnare) -- Sal sets up an attack with his modified EMP missile defense system. The SEMPs are engineered to disrupt modern technology on a variety of levels, but they are specifically built to disrupt shield tech, allowing Sal to get in a strike or two.
Experimental Energy Reciprocation System (Counter) -- The EERS is one of Sal's more modern inventions, using his understanding of energy systems to construct a device that can throw the same type of energy damage sustained to the Demon back at its source.
Nuclear Apocalypse (Desperation Strike) -- This wouldn't be a Sal vessel if it didn't have some sort of archaic weaponry on it, and Sal's Nuclear Apocalypse Salvo is just that. Composed of modified nuclear warheads with advanced modern targeting and locating systems, the NAS is a deadly and very expensive way to deal with threats that just won't go away.
Each warhead costs about as much as a small ship to construct, and Sal is lucky he was able to salvage some on Terra. Therefore, he only uses this system when he absolutely has to-- anytime else is a waste.
