The scene was a classic one - Alan and Elita alone at a table in a room dimly lit by a single floating anti-gravity light bulb, a cup of coffee at each end of the table, Alan doing the good-cop-bad-cop act with no bad cop to play off.

"So.. now that we established that you were involved in the kidnapping, do you think you'd be able to tell me just what the motivation was? Does the kidnapper expect a ransom of any sort?"

Had Elita still been a member of the Space Police Force, rather than the culprit, she probably would have been the bad cop. ...But that's a different story.
Frowning down at her coffee (it just wasn't black enough for her), Elita responded dully, "Well, I can certainly tell you my own motivation, but hell if I know what the employer intends to do with the 'droids - all he told us was that they wouldn't be harmed. And a ransom would most certainly do little for him; he is, after all, Kazuma Hirai. He was more than willing to part ways with a million and a half credits in order to have us carry out the retrieval."
After a moment, she continued, tone souring somewhat. "There was an additional bonus for myself; current information pertaining to the whereabouts of a certain Space Devil. I was, however, left unable to use it, and it is now more than likely to be worthless."

Upon hearing Kazuma's name, his stomach lurched a little. "Oh.. Mr. Hirai ordered it, himself...?" This wasn't good. Kazuma was one of the top donators to the Space Police, to the point that their organization would come to a screeching halt if his donations ever stopped coming - and investigating him was a fairly good way to make that happen.
"Hm... all right, would you be able to describe to us everything you know about these androids, then?"

The Commander's reaction didn't surprise Elita in the least - she was thoroughly aware of Kazuma's standing with the Space Police. She didn't mention it, though, and nodded affirmatively for both questions. "Aside from what he wanted us to do, Hirai told us little. We knew that one of the androids had telekinetic capabilities, as well as that the two consider themselves siblings, but my associates and I learned on our own - the hard way - that the second had latent and extensive combat programming, as well as the weapons to accommodate such."
Another pause, and another sour addition. "She focused it mainly on myself, of course. Suffice to say, I wasn't quite able to catch how the other two defeated her."

Alan wove his hands together. "Hm.. well, would you have any idea where they might be now? Getting them back should be our first priority." He was hoping he could just get the androids back without having to go through Kazuma and call it a day - Kazuma wouldn't be able to make a case against them from such an indirect action.

"I can only assume that they were turned over to one of Kazuma's scientists; I didn't catch his name, nor did I care to at the time, as I was too busy waving off his questionable medical products." Not to mention being angry at everyone.
Clicking her tongue for a few seconds, Elita admitted, "All I can really recall of him is that he had bright red hair, and looked as though absolutely everything in the world was distasteful to him." Which could very well be used by someone else to describe her, but that was beside the point. "The other two mercenaries may be a bit more informative on that matter, though I doubt they'd be quite as cooperative."

A nod, and a slight smirk as she began speaking. "The first was an utter moron by the name Griff Vaughan - terribly egotistic, that one." The amused look faded as the Krylochan continued, tone turning disgruntled. "On the other hand, the second mercenary kept his identity concealed; I know only his alias, Black Fox."

"Of course, it's no secret that we can't jump at the call every time they do something questionable... but still, in cases like these, we like to be prepared."
Alan craned his neck to the side, a few cracks escaping due to his stiffness. "Well, we're off to a good start. Anything else you'd be able to tell me...?"

"I quite understand, Commander," Elita replied, seeming a bit unimpressed by something. "I wasn't a member of the Space Police Force for nothing, I'll have you know." And that would be that something; once voiced, though, she simply shook her head, a light sigh escaping her as she mumbled, mostly to herself, "Of course, that's not the issue here...totally unimportant..." Another shake of her head, and she spoke up once more, this time clearly directed at the officer before her. "If I could, I'd give you more to go on, but I believe I've told you all I can. If you think otherwise, or if there is anything more I can do, don't hesitate to bring it to my attention."

"Well, thank you very much for your cooperation - since you were acting in the capacity of a mercenary, that entitles you to certain protections under Space Police law, so.. well, if you were in the Space Police before, you should know this already. In any case, we don't need to detain you - but you should be available to contact at all times."

"Years ago, yes," she responded dully, almost off-handedly, though the tone vanished quickly. "And as such, all of my contact information should still be available for your perusal, save for that of my personal communicator; of course, I would be more than willing to give that number." A somewhat uncertain expression crossed Elita's face at that point, and she added hesitantly, "And if there is any further assistance you need, then...well, I would be more than willing to volunteer." She chose to ignore the vacation band still strapped to her wrist; the fines would be worth it.

"Save for in cases directly related to the KDR, I only carry out his orders when he has information on Space Devil, which is rare, and usually inaccurate in some way." She scowled at that bit, muttering irritably, "Honestly, I'm not sure why I even bother - I must really be a glutton for punishment." Or just terribly unlucky; even the few accurate bits of information she'd received over time had ended up useless.
One last shake of her head, clear irritation at her own shortcomings, and the Krylochan glanced between Alan and the exit, then back again. "Would that be all, then, Commander?"
